| LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky, which proclaims "the greatest tradition in college basketball" before every home game, lost its two most storied opponents on Thursday.
Indiana and North Carolina announced their series with Kentucky would not continue next season.
Indiana, which has played UK every year since the 1969-70 season, ended the series because the programs could not agree on where to play future games. UK wanted neutral sites. IU wanted to play in Bloomington and Lexington in alternating years.

| The NCAA paid a visit to Everett High yesterday to investigate former Crimson Tide player Nerlens Noel, the highly touted 6-foot-10 center who recently committed to Kentucky.
Two members of their enforcement team, Cindi Merrill and Frank Smith, met with Everett High principal Louis Baldi and football coach/athletic director John DiBiaso for over an hour. While details of the meetings were not divulged, it is believed the areas targeted in the meeting revolved around Noel’s associates as well as classes he took at Everett.
