0516 Dana-White-UFCDana White will have surgery Thursday in Los Angeles to treat a recently diagnosed case of Ménière's disease. The UFC president missed the promotion's Tuesday fight card at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. – the first event he's missed since he and partners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta purchased the company in January 2001.

White revealed the news via Twitter prior to the fights.

“First fight I will miss in 11 years and it is killing me,” White said. “I have to have surgery in L.A. tomorrow or trust me I would be [there].”

In April, he flew from Brazil on a Friday to attend a card in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday.

0516 UCF Chan Sung JungWonders never cease. The Korean Zombie did not need to come back to life against American Dustin Poirier. Chan Sung Jung proved beyond all doubt that his exponential improvements – from the Twister to the twisted t-shirts now adorned by his legions of fans – deserves a title shot against incumbent UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

Jung just gets better with every outing, and in Fairfax, Virginia, Poirier had few answers to the probing questions asked of him by the Korean Zombie. Jung eventually finished the fight by D'Arce choke 1 minute 7 seconds into the fourth round – he had dropped the 23-year-old American with a pinpoint uppercut followed by a knee – but he had dominated Poirier for the first two rounds.
